As a mother, one of my most favorite activities is going to the zoo with you kids. Before you were born, we went all of the time to the Kansas City zoo. Now we live too far to get a yearly pass! Sorry! One day, we took off and went to the Phoenix zoo. It was weird not having Avery there, but she is a serious student now. We just took you and Brooklyn, along with Ari and her mom and brother.
This was worth the containing of toddler (you), long drive, heat, sweat and making sure you kids didn't jump into the lions den!
