The big 2!

Happy 2nd birthday Isla! I can't believe you are already two! I feel like you skipped a lot of your babyhood. We will get to that later.

Before your birthday:
We had been practicing singing the Happy Birthday song and blowing out the candles. When we would ask you what you wanted on your birthday, you would say, "donuts, cupcakes, ice cream."

On your birthday:

We had a breakfast picnic on the floor with donuts, but you didn't really eat them.

On your birthday:

We had a breakfast picnic on the floor

You helped make your birthday cake

We had some friends over for birthday cake and presents

But for some reason, I only took pictures of you? Oh well, I promise they were there.

You are growing up too fast. I know every mom says that , but you really are. You started walking at 9 months and started speaking in full sentences before you were 2. You climb, run and roll with the best of them. But I guess you are still a baby, because you love your baba's and binkies. We love to snuggle you and squeeze you. We are so happy you are in our family!
