Dad had to go to a medical convention in San Antonio, so we totally mooched and came along with him. Also, good ole Grandma and Grandpa came too!
We actually didn't tell you guys that your grandparents were coming, and we planned it so that they had a layover in Phoenix where we met up and flew on the same plane to Texas. I will just say, it was a good surprise!
I had never been to this cool city, so we had to explore!
We took a bus tour of the city so we could learn all the history and get a lay of the land
Then we found a Mexican shopping and eating area. Grandpa is just one of the girls!
Then we of course had to check out the river walk
It was pretty amazing!
We went on a boat tour of the Riverwalk, and Isla, you were such a turd!
We then found out about a creek outside of the city and had to go and explore. We country folks can't stay very long in a big city. We played for hours!

This little boy was a trooper and he often times had to sleep on the fly!
We found rocks in the creek
We also found a really cool park in the middle of the city and made some friends. Grandpa and I played ping pong with a random guy we met. It was fun!
Then we found a really fun popsicle store around the corner, Leo had his first bite of popsicle and loved it!
One of my favorite nights was when we played till dark at a park, and we walked over to these food trucks. It was after 9pm and we were hanging out with the bar crowd. We be crazy! And yes, we have 4 kids (I knew what everyone was thinking)! The fish tacos were great!
We had to do the touristy thing and go to Sea World. We mostly stayed on the water park side because it was super hot! I went on a tube slide with Avery and Grandma and Grandpa, and it was so fun. I laughed like a little kid because one of the drops was pretty fast!

After Sea World, we found some amazing Texas BBQ!
I can see why Texans are obsessed with Texas, they have some major pride and patriotism here! We had a great time with Grandma and Grandpa! I couldn't have come here without them (since dad was at his conference a lot). Thanks for dealing with our crazy mom and dad! We love you!
